One 2 One

One 2 One launched its digital mobile telephone service in London in September 1993. The company was bought by Deutsche Telecom in August 1999 and is now part of its T-Mobile group of companies.

T-Mobile has established a strong position in core European mobile telecommunications markets and the USA. The company also owns the network operators T-Mobile (Germany), max.mobile (Austria), RadioMobil (Czech Republic), Voicestream Wireless and Powertel (USA). T-Mobile also holds significant stakes in telephone companies in the Netherlands (Ben), Russia (MTS) and Poland (PTC).

The pursuit of synergy led to the founding of T-Motion, a London based subsidiary, specialising in the provision of mobile Internet services, in 1999.
